Rules for the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers in New Braunfels:

• Limit of two tubes per person on the Comal River only
  
  
• Inner tubes limited to 5 feet in diameter
  
  
• Maximum cooler size 16 quarts (holds about 20 12-ounce cans)
  
  
• Coolers must have a locking mechanism to prevent spillage
  
  
• Open containers not allowed in Prince Solms Park;
  at the last public exit on the Comal River;
  Cypress Bend Park; and Hinman Island Park
  
  
• No glass or foam containers (Styrofoam ice chests)
  
  
• No volume drinking devices (beer bongs)
  
  
• No containers under 5 fluid ounces
  
  
• No jumping from bridges, dams or trees
  
  
• No littering
